I'm looking at a 96 L200 2.5d/t. Done 210ks. Good service history. Has had a leak down and comp test all come back good.
Is there anything that I should be looking for in particular with these trucks?

Bummer.
Yeah what happens sometimes is 5th/rev hub nut comes loose and it shags the tailshaft and a few gears if it comes off. I've had to rebuild a few of those gearboxes in my time - mainly delica though.

the painful part of that was put the ute in for the repair when we went to welly for a week, the garage didn't contact me or the boss on any part of the repair , just went ahead with it, near $ 890 just in the tail shaft , replaced the clutch too, all unnotafide till i called in to see them to get a copy of the account, the company paid the bill as i couldn't at that time

Wow. Nice of them to keep you informed - not!
I'm going to check this L200 out tomorrow hopefully. Will see what it really like once it's on a hoist.
Thanks
