Interchangability of surf and ute panels?

hi,

i have a 1984 2wd hilux 2 door ute.
same shape as this:

just wondering if anyone has done or knows if it is possible to use early model surf doors and guards etc? like this one:

know of a guy with a 95 version of your lux that did the same thing and knowing his skill I"d have to say it would have to be a close fit... you have to do the grill and lights as well I think
