Ok so it pales in comparison to the recently stolen Prado in Auckland.......
Woke this morning to find my brand new 33/12.5/15 Maxxis buckshot and 15/8 white spoke rim have been flogged from my TJ.
Dickless pieces of shit will have a hard time passing it on to anyone though..... rim will only fit on a Jeep......
I reiterate what i said on the NZ4WD email forum...... String the fuckers up!!!

Sorry to hear about it. I might have to think about locking mine somehow as well (feels a bit exposed).
PS: It might also fit a Falcon, but would look really odd!!!!

again TJ your attention to detail is immaculate.... yes it will fit a Falcon, a holden, and several brands of jap cars too......
a 15 x 8 rim on any of them with a -24 mm offset would be dodgy to fit to say the least and a 33 inch buckshot might just look plain silly!
However, the noose tightens.
At 1:20 this morning a shit yellow coloured L200 type wellside ute was seen outside the residence of a local 4x4 personality, with what appeared to be my rim and tyre (the "informer" is well used to them, being an ex staff member of mine, they used to be stacked in my office.) Upon talking to the other 4x4 driver, he informed that he had a spare stolen on wednesday night.
the "tellee" futher reported that a family member used to be into doing exactly this, and so a phone call was made to the uncle of this lad and the suggestion was made that IF he knew about it, that the return would be appreciated.
If nothing was forthcoming....... well....... (not my words, i never made the call, the tellee did this)
Seems too that when this young fellas was doing this some time ago that the tyres used to make their way out of Hamilton, up to a large, and very reputable, tyre dealer in auckland. This dealer has been called and notified.
we will see what happens

I put locking nuts on my spare, a couple years ago
I figured it would be too damn easy to flog the spare, off the back of the MU...
post more info, for eyes to take notice of..
