New tyres on Disco

Has anyone fitted 33x10'5x15" BFG,s onto a DISCO?
If so were there any clearance problems?
This DISCO has a 60mm lift,hopeing someone my have done this.

Just Brought a disco and was wanting to put 33s on it also. Found some good info on discos at
http://www.discoweb.org/. Looks like you have to do a alot of fender trimming.

yes i have put 33 bfg's on a disco with a coil lift have a look at my pics page 12 i think i had no clearnce problems and tyres went great

I'm running 32" (235/85R16 actually) mud tyres on mine. Still at stock height, but have done the "Camel Trophy" cut to the back wheel arches and trimmed the front bumper corner caps.
When ramping it on the driveway I can't find any interference but out in the real world I have found the tyres to still catch the edges of the guards about half-way up under the rear doors.
A suspension lift would solve this as would trimming this edge slightly.
I reckon if you have a 60mm lift then 33" tyres would fit without much hassle. This will also depend on the width of the tyre. My 235's could be considered skinny by many. The spare if the same size will not fit on the back door though. My spare is resting on the bumper when I shut the back door.

It looks to me like the guards on this were heavily trimmed to clear the tyres. But then these look like fat tyres.

yes my bad the gaurds were also cut out and tyres where 12.5 inches wide

Have a look at my avatar. 91 model. 50mm suspension lift, 50mm bodylift, cut out guards (but not much). 33/10.5/16 Simex Jungle Trekkers (actually measure close to 34") Sweet onroad but rubs offroad inner rear guards and on the rear doors also. Needs more suspension lift to stop this. Just touchs at the front on full lock.

dont you have to reuild the rear diff first

Good point but hopefully it is on an axle. 2 weeks til Mudplug.
