Are you looking for something to watch or do you have a vehicle you want to use.

If your after a look at something. The Kiwi winch challenge is on late October in Rotorua for a week. If you wanna be a marshal and have a week to spare you will see most of the more serious winch trucks NZ has to offer plus a few Aussie ones too.

The event will supply you with a campsite, toilet and shower facilities and all your meals including a band on the Friday night of prizegiving.
Yes its volunteer work. There's no money in 4wding in NZ. We just too small.
You might get a free t-shirt that has marshal written on it too. Sounds to good to be true really.

Hi ya

Check out http://www.trademe.co.nz Search under "Suzuki 4wd" or similar. THis will give you an indication of what prices are. Generally people on trademe are going for the highest price possible so dont expect a bargain. Pending on where you end up check out a local Trade & Exchange newspaper. This may be you best bet.
Good luck on your search

cheers

a wof is easy, you dont have to have (insurence) but your silly not to,
A wof is a "warrent of fitness" a checkup on your veichle to make shure its legal.

edit, (insurence)

What he means is it is a compulsory, required by law warrant, that can only be obtained if your vehicle meets reasonably strict safetyand condition requirments.

They check such things as steering components for wear, structural rust, brakes, tyre tread depth, seat belts, lights etc etc.

If you do not have a WOF you are liable for an instant fine of i think $400, and the vehicle can be written of the road untill a warrant is obtained.

Yeah top work Matt4u. You don't need a WOF! What sort of help is that? Insurance is optional but advisable when you stove your $2000 zuk into a Bentley and they want you to pay. Third party insurance covers that sort of thing and is reasonbly cheap.

Registration is paid to use the roads. Around $250 to $300 per year. Extra tax if you run a diesel vehicle.

Hope that helps.

Hehe, yeah, thougt that must be what ya ment.

Mind you, I have met my share of people who firmly beleive a WOF is just an optional extra.
Kinda like a cup holder, or electric windows only less functional

Post by turtlezuk »

well boys its an 89 camo grn samurai...the last year they made them in canada...
the motor is the injected version of 1.3L
6.5" of lift (thats 4.5" spoa, and 2' shackle lift)
6:1 t-case gears
5.13 pinion gears out of a sidekick (i forget what u call them??)
breeze drop link shackles
30"x9.5 mt/r's
good ol ford steelies (2" wider stance / 1" per side)
waterlogged speakers...they still work eh w/ a sweet '94 cd deck (radio only)
drive shaft spacers f/r
crossover steering system by breeze
front locker...welded rear....cheaper u know (makes cool noises,like a bird chirp chirp!)
in the process of fabin some treecrushin, boulderpushin bumpers, to put my new winch...forestry auctions are awesome 4 that stuff
cut out the rustyrockers, replaced w/ 1/4" hss steel rock sliders(heavy as s*^t)
rhinolining everywhere inside(no waterlogged carpets)
many dents that make it more aerodynamic on the highway
had it 4 almost 2 years now...getting stored while im down unda
going 4 a dig 2night...i'll take the flash w/ me
how do i get pics on this site??

Here goes...

Step 1

You need to upload your photo on another website.
I recommend http://www.imageshack.us

Image

Okay this first step is pretty simple. Press the 'browse' button ,choose your picture and press 'open'.

Image

Now that youve done that, press the 'host it' button

Step 2

Image

Now youll find yourself at this screen.
You need to select the text in the top box (the one with around it). Now copy it by right clicking on it and clicking copy or hitting [CTRL] + [C].

Step 3

Now we arrive at the forum

Image

Start your message and write any text you want above the image.
Now press [CTRL] + [V] to paste the image into your message.
Finally, submit your post and the photo should appear in the forum.

This is what the final result will look like:
