Any idea whether this strut brace (pictured) could fit (with little modifying, not a massive rebuild) a swb vit?

I don't see why you couldn't make it fit, but it still leaves the question "why??" all a strut brace on an IFS truck is gona do is firm up the body and take away movement and travel....

I thought it would add a little strength to the front end. Maybe I am wrong to head in that direction.

a brace ties the suspension pionts together to remove any body movement resulting in changing camber at the wheel on a 4WD this also has the effect of stopping any body movement which removes some suspension articulation
Pitty I can't find the link but there was a land cruiser build that showed this as the guy used a straight edge and cammera to document the flex in the chassi as he modified the gearbox X member (he was tring not to loose any movement while strengthing and raising the x member) he had some thing like 2" of twist from the stock chassi  really quite interesting  at the time heres me welding plates on the inside of a chassi to strengthen it so it could handle the suspension mods and he's got totally the opposite approch...

for an a class truck you dont want to stop any flexing, like reece was saying a brace will firm it up.if i drive through a big ditch i can hear my roof flexing on mine so that is movement you dont really want to lose.
