Vitara - dead electrics

Wondering if some of the resident zuk experts could get me out of a spot of bother.
My vitara has been sitting for about 3 weeks, battery went flat - no big deal recharged the battery - checked with a meter 13v.
Plug battery in - no electrics - nothing.
No power to fuse box, checked between + and chassis, and getting a good 12+ volts.
Where am I going wrong? Is there a main fusible link or the like? Its almost like the battery is just not even connected. No wipers, no lights, no stereo, no clicks when you hit switches that should activate relays, dead :(

Please point me in the right direction....

cheers
Aaron

Do your headlights or interior light work? (as they should have a fulltime 12v send, not through the igntion circuit)

Is there a fuse box under the bonnet also? I can't remember...
Is there any loose wires around the terminals? (ie ones that may have fallen off or look unplugged)
Maybe try and follow the leads from + terminal backwards, and test them anywhere you can get to them to try and work out where you are have and have not got power...

Stupid Question

Did you put the battery back in the right way round?

There is a 60 amp main fuse in the fuse box next to the battery, it is a fusable link for direct power supply,
also some time the lead to this gets a bit of of rust under it , could need a clean. :D

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I have found this out also.
Brother came around to borrow zuk - battery dead, he hooked up my jumper pack - and wife says there were sparks as he hooked it up.
Bet he did it wrong way round!
