Yep, I've got Coby extractors too, Seem good so far, also got the cat replaced with a resinator too, produced a definite power increase.

Rage do a set, but most exhaust places can make one-off sets for you if you want.

Thorley do a nice set, but it depends on whether you want to pay for platinum-plated solid-gold imported stuff.

i got my coby's for $250 brand new from a local exhaust shop, but they range from $265 to $517   on trademe.
check these listings
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 716412.htm $325 coby (i think)

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 598660.htm $250 used

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 598666.htm $265 coby

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 417777.htm $517 lukey

all the same thing really, i think.

i did similar to nstacy, removed the cat and replaced it with 2.5" pipe. im getting the rest of the system done in 2.5" soon. mine feels much better already, hopefully be a bit better again once the rest is finished. :D

cheers

2.5 inch seems quite large for a small engine. I though 2.25 was the max without losing torque.

(EDIT) just thinking,I guess if the pipe is straight through then 2.5 would be too big but if it has bends in it (the crushed type, not mandrel) then they would create the restrictions to keep the backpressure up.

I've replaced the middle section - basically cut from exhaust up to flange, that is now a piece of straight 2" pipe.

Looks like Coby wins the day.

Thanks again.

Not sure what breed of extractors, but our pipe is 2" right through the resonator and a hot dog. Did have a std muffler in this system, but basically peeled it on a rock on the Old Man Range. Definitely has more power and a better note - especially on redline. Not that that happens often.

i have suzi sport extractors on mine with 2 inch pipe and one straight through muffler, it is quite loud but sounds good on the limiter :D .even if it was road legal it would never get a wof being to noisy.

Is that the only reason it would not get a WoF? :D

I ran coby from an autowrecker for $100 with a commode V6 muffler on my x-90, sounded good and ran well. Remember good air in and out so make sure a snorkel is in your equation.
