If you can get enough teams to commit, then we will seriously look at it.

1st Nov will be 3 stages with approx 15 min DNF followed by soaking in the hot pools
2nd Nov 10 stages ranging from 10 min to 20 min DNF
If you have seen the OBC super special stage then you know what things will be like for 2 stages, we are building them for spectators and TV with another 3 right in front of them, and the other 5 being built for the drivers.

How much does this approx cost? Looking at a Patrol in Wellington and trying to cost up freight against a truck I'm looking at in chch. Cheers.

Edit: Got sick of waiting for them to email a qoute so rang up and was told 375 including GST for anyone else wondering.
Should make it up to spectate and make a weekend of it hopfully.

Who's going out to spectate? This will be a cool event for our area and it would be good to get as many Canterbury 4wheelers out there as possible. I'm going to help marshall. Any club members that access this site, let your clubs kbnow as well so we can get them out to spectate.

Why just go to spectate? The Clubman Class was created to encourage "Good Club Trucks" to get involved in competition. You don't have to enter every event in the South Island, and it doesn't cost much to have a go when the event is local. We've got a couple of 25 year old trucks (Safari and an FJ40) both with only minor modification (rear locker and mild lift) from Blenheim entering. It would be nice to see a few from Christchurch turn up as well...

I would but I am organising the marshalls and my winch is waiting for a new motor to arrive. Agree with what you say though. If I entered I would have a unfair advantage as I have driven some of the course.

You may get an advantage - but I disagree that it would be unfair! If you're willing to put in the hard yards setting up the course, then any advantage you get is entirely fair! You still have to drive it anyway....

Looks like Hanmer is in for a good dumping of rain today. That will make the course more interesting. So who's coming out to watch the carnage? You's could all carpool and save on fuel.
