There is a carby fix for the ones fitted to the American Sammys. I think our carb is different. Checkout AksFac on Zuwharrie.com

They had a different carb alright.
I remember we used to do something to them but it was a quite a while ago when I had my sammy. Never mind, worth a crack. Cheers

There was a small pipe that you fit to the carb to bring the breather or whatever it was out into the flow of air (caused hesitation in unmodified carbs)
From zuhwarrie site
Engine hesitation:
The stock carburetor has a flat-spot around 3000rpm. This is caused by the drop in vacuum in the manifold through the vent hole in the secondary throttle plate, causing the secondary to not open properly. The simple addition of an inexpensive carburetor vent tube will cure this problem. This OEM part is available from several of the Suzuki aftermarket companies
http://www.izook.com/shoptips/vent_tube_fix.htm is the site for the kit and a write up also.
Hope it helps.

I think that the NZ sammy's had a Asin carb. I'll check what's on it though when I see him next. Good be all good.

We ordered a Vent tube off Rockey Road for my mates Sammy.
When we went to Fit it to the Asian Carb we found it all ready had one fitted.
Not sure if it came from factory like this or if it had been fitted later.
