You've already got disk brakes which would be the main reason to do that. The other is they are about 100mm wider but rekon it would be far easier to fix what you've got and get some rims with a bigger offset.

Just my opinion though...

what actually failed coxsy, I've lost a couple of front hubs before but its never made a mess like that? The bearings look pretty dry in those photos?

exactly what i thought, and theres probably the fact that it fuckered the twin locking nut set up and caused it to 'liberise' itself...

Coz you can see the wheel was still on on the side of the motorway, the lock nuts must have still been on the end of the stub axle at that stage, so was it a failed wheelbearing that decided to heat up to 1,000,000 degrees celcius that caused all that damage?

That is the side it fell over onto, up at Rallywoods QBW. Might have contributed to the failure

You are lucky that NZ Bus and Truck didn't have to get the parts from Australia - I have twice been subject to their 5 week runaround special of BS, with my truck stuck up on hoist, about parts being ordered and lost btween branches in Aus and then Japan and then the parts arriving in NZ and then needing extra milling etc etc etc etc
