Thats a pretty sweet outcome, everyone hears the stories about it going pearshaped.

I tell people, ill check the rego in a week if its in my name ill de -reg it.
Not hard to do either.

Tim.

Iv learnt my lesson now, they say you learn by ya mistakes or the hard way. when i sold my subaru wrx last year, the guy said hed change it over the next day, but on the way home he used it in a high speed chase and i had to prove i wasnt driving, had made him sign some papers so took it to the cops the next day n they charged him. Next time wont let a car go till all the paperworks bin done

Got an AA down the road from me so we drive down there do the paper work and then I walk home and they drive off in "their" car. Last few cars have done it that way and most people seem fine with it. Mind you if the didnt like it,then tuff its that way or nothing now.

I bought a pajero a few weeks ago, the owner worked in an AA centre. I picked it up from her work and she changed the ownership on the spot :D

you could always list it as stolen with the police, pretty sure he would get hold of you pretty quickly from the cells :D
but i like the de reg bit, cost a bloody fortune to put back on the road.
