I've just bought a 93 L200 Sport D/C 4x4 D/T through work, was a trade-in.
Got it cheap! Just got to do gearbox bearings soon by the sound of it. No dramas otherwise. Body and motor etc mint.
Just wondering what can be done to these to give a bit more ground clearance. Also what tyre size would be recommended for it (on std rims).
Cheers

hey just wondering if you know what yours does to a tank of diesel mine does 550 from memory still on the same tank so yet to confirm that number but would be interesting to know as i think it could do better, also i recommended intercooler upgrade as its easy due to the pajeros running them and cheap to buy piss easy to install !

as for tires i'm just running 245,16 70 or 75 dont wanna go to big for road driving as it will get gutless as i was told ive pushed mine as fair as id wanna go according to factory specs, i suggest maybe two set of tires if you wanna get serious off road!
also maybe cheaper option then doing the bearings in your gearbox
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 772885.htm that's a dirt cheap box! not sure if its a diesel one tho...

Yeah saw that box on t/m. Pity its looks to be off an earlier model so I don't know if it'll suit.
As for Km's/tank - i haven't filled it up yet. Only picked it up Fri from work.
I'm interested in the intercooler swap......Do you know what paj to get it off and what i'll need from it?
I thought about getting another set of wheels, but I'm only going to use it for hunting and towing my race car and hopefully a few 4x4 trips with the family, so I'll just keep the std wheels for now but put some muds tyres on. Would 31x10.50 tyre fit on std 15" rims?

well i put 15inch rims with 50 mm off set from the guards which looked ridiculous and the tyre was 265 70 or 75's 15 and it was rubing at the front so i'd say 31's would as there bigger again, not sure how much by,but my offset may have caused problems so 31's may fit on different rims...? as for the intercooler all you need is pajero intake manifold all the plumbing for the intercooler and of course the intercooler, the mounting can be a little annoying but its easy just gotta make up small brackets etc, mine looks ruff but it does the trick lol and just got a challenger bonnet scoop, although i wanted the new type hilux scoop coz a local guy has one on his and it looks way better! but get whatever you can, should cost about around 200 dollar mark but i'd ask the guys on the forum they might be able to hook you up
