Lexan/polycarb windows

Anyone running Lexan/Polycarb windows?, problems?, are they ok with wipers? do they scratch easily?
'85 Hilux crawler, 3rz, duals, 4.7's, 4.88's, ARB's, 30 spline Longfields, 6 stud SNR4x4 Histeer, Airshocks up front, coiled rear, 40" Iroks.

im not but atleast ya know if you run them you'll be safe from shotgun blasts and small explosions! :lol:

Polycarb is a lot softer than glass so its easy to scratch it. It would be alright in the rear and side windows but you'd bugger it real quick with the wipers on the windscreen. But windscreens are cheap for hiluxs :wink: :lol:

lexan scratches really easily, with wiper and dirt won't last two wipes before you cannot see thru it, bushes and gorse dal to side windows but not as rapidly, and when wiping with a soft cloth and have dirt present it will scratch, you have to clean it with out touching it to prolong its life, only good thing is strops and shackles wont make it thru.!!!

not road legal, but there is some stuff which is much more scratch resistant and can be used on road (not that you're concerned about that). Cant remember the name of it off hand. All the rally boys are supposed to be using it
