Drivers notes
* Vehicles will be grouped with other vehicles in the same class to assist with recoveries
* ‘Loss of forward motion in a hazard’. Stop immediately as this will aid in recovery and prevent hazard damage. Avoid unnecessary damage to the hazard when recovering a stuck vehicle. Obey marshal’s instructions and if in doubt call a tractor.
* ‘Hitting a peg’ is when any part of the vehicle makes contact with a peg. The marshal determines the definition of a peg.
* A vehicle is deemed to be ‘Outside a hazard’ when, while attempting a hazard, it travels more than half of its width past the line that the pegs form on the side of the hazard
* Pegs must be in place vertically before attempting a hazard. Pegs must be left as they were found to the satisfaction of the marshal.
* It is permitted to remove rocks from a hazard
* All drivers shall hold a current drivers licence. If the driver is the holder of a learners or restricted licence then the navigator must hold a full drivers licence and be legally allowed to accompany the driver.
* Minimum age for navigators is 12 years, and they must be capable of hooking on ropes etc.
* No alcohol is permitted while competing.
* Unsafe driving between hazards is not acceptable and may be cause for disqualification. No passengers (other than navigators) are permitted at any time. Maximum speed between hazards is 10km/h
* Any dispute to be addressed to the convenor directly, and convenor’s decision is final.

There may be some confusion wih a rule change!!
The modified class now includes 33x12.5x15 or equalivent tyre size! This was 32x11.5x15.
These are only of MT type and excludes aggressive tyres. There are other classes for these tyres.
32x11.5x15 is not a common size but 33 is for a club type modified class vehicle so they are now included.
