Offroad spotlight wiring help required

I have a beach buggy that I am in the middle of re-wiring, I have four 100W 12V spotlights on it that I want to wire up correctly and apart from that the only electrics it runs is an electric radiator fan and an electric fuel pump from a subaru leone.

I want to know if I run my spotlights in lots of two, i.e. one switch for the two inner spotlights and one switch for the two outer spotlights what amperage fuse should I run for each circuit?

I'm thinking something along the lines of (for each lot of two spotlights): +ve battery terminal > 20 amp fuse > 25 amp switch > two 100W 12V spotlights > ground.

Thanks in advance :)

that sounds pretty good to me. you could run a relay and just a small switch in the dash save having a huge 25amp switch in the dash and your big cables having to run into the dash. just straight from the battery thru fuse via relay to lights

Like kiwimidi says run the spotlights through relays. As for fuse size, Volts x Amps = Watts so get your calculator out and divide 200 by 12 and that will give you an Amp rating that will probably work out to be a 20 Amp fuse
