A preliminary notice that this popular event will be held again in the Kawhia area, March 2009. Entry details and relevant forms will be posted on Te Awamutu Rotary Club's website http://www.teawamuturotary.org.nz at the end of October. This same website will also have a few photos from this and other years events.

We aim to achieve the same level of unique West Coast of the North Island farmland, bush and beach routes in areas not normally accessed by 4WDers. Believe me when I say that this area is pristine; the views stunning and the whole event is always memorable. We have worked hard to establish good working relationships with farmers in the area and the goodwill gained from our efforts in the past, and, the goodwill shown by 4WDers in the past has stood us all in good stead.

Held over 2 days, this event is aimed directly at shineys but enthusiasts of every 4WD level are welcome to participate. We have already started planning the route, talking with farmers and exploring areas not ever used before. We will also be using the services of the tough truck volunteers whose expertise we hope will never be needed, but they will be there, just in case.
