4x4 Challenges Meeting 23 November

Hi everyone
Just letting you know that the next 4x4 Challenges meeting is to be held on Sunday 23 November at 10:30 am at Victoria Avenue School.
Topics to be discussed will be;
2009 National Final.
What progress has been made and what is trying to be achieved.
Rules.
Changes, the new process we are using and the goal(s) of the rule changes. ie level playing field, safety, inclusion, simplicity, removing ability to interpret and safety!!
Check out http://www.4x4challenges.org.nz/ for what is happening. The changes, proposed changes and rules for discussion will be listed there very soon. There 'should' be a bit of discussion on the forum about the changes before the meeting.
Logbooks.
Why have them, how they will make things easier and cheaper, cost etc.
And some boring admin that has to be done.
These are open meeting for anyone interested to attend. The new team and I are trying to bring the sport back to the competitors and get more racing happening. We are trying to change things to how we (competitors) want to race but we need feedback to achieve that. Go to http://www.4x4challenges.org.nz/ logon to the forum and say what you want as long as it is about making things better.
I realise the meeting is in Auckland and this doesn't suit everyone and that is life so if you can't make the meeting, have your say on the forum. We will be using feedback from there towards our decision making.
I have been talking to the Mainland guys as we want to get the sport running as a national thing with one set of rules so SI guys, please give us your feedback as well as that will give us a headstart toward 2010 and one set of rules. Also as one topic for discussion is a National Final next year we need all of the country to get involved. This isn't saying 4x4 Challenges will run anything but currently it is an organisation that is in a good place to get the ball rolling (obviously in conjuction with the Mainland committee).
The reason for requesting the discussion happen on the 4x4 ch website forum is that we have that setup slightly differently so that we know who is saying what. That just makes the coments more usable for us in an official capacity.
We are in the process of setting a discussion topic for each rule change so that we can get specific feedbacl to the rule. Please help us get this right!
Lastly I would request that if you object to something then give us the reason, as we can then either explain away the problem or work towards a solution.
