i bought 87 hilux 2.4d yesterday, then after while at waimak, the battery charge light came on and the filter light came on, any1 knw how to fix or were i shud be looking?

yep id say it is the contacts in the alternator they cost about 10 bucks if they need replacing but just might be gunked up with mud fairly straight forward to do just need a soldering iron if your gonna replace them same thing happened to me
