well we broke three wheel studs on one wheel while up the ashley river.

roufy how much should i be looking at paying for a new set of six.

three clean broken and the last three two were two turns from tight the thrid was the last stud standing tight.

I had similar once. Came out the Ohuku at the Whiterock road. After coming out the gate I stopped to close it and my mate said there was something wrong with my wheel. Had broken one stud, bent another and only had one wheel nut left holding things on. The rim was slogged out and I was about to head on the open road with tight turns in it . I can't even remember right now where I got my replacement studs from but they were no big expense and it can't of been a big saga to find any or I would have remembered. I know I got trailer studs from Repco once when we lost a wheel and snapped studs while carting a disabled MU home but trailer studs are pretty common and std fit. Might have got my cruiser ones from Toyota direct but can't remember at all.

99 times out of 100 broken wheel studs are because wheel nuts not tight/or tight enough,even worse with big tyres as theres more leverage.

its time to read the manual on how to change the studs.
