gearbox doesnt like cold

just the other day i jumped in my l200 on a cold morning and i usually warm it up 10mins b4 i leave but i didn't this time and well it dont like shifting when its cold! once its warm its sweet as but is there any kind of additive i can add to help with this problem? like that moreys or lucas stuff that make the oil stick to the gears etc ? or maybe i should just warm it up everytime !

You could use a multigrade engine oil inside.
That'll run more easily at colder temps.

Try fuchs 75w90, I find that its a great oil for cold and hot conditions

My 4wd gearbox (originally an Isuzu 4 ton truck gearbox) is recommended to run 5W30 multigrade engine oil.
I think I'm currently running 15W40.
I think 80W gear oil is similar viscosity to 15W motor oil, but I can't find the table I'm looking for. This one is close but not quite.

Try using Castrol Multitrax. It's the newer manual oil that Castrol has.
