Detriot E-Z Locker

Post by SirGerald »

Hi I have recently purchased an E-Z Locker for my suzuki samurai and was told it was removed in working order.

We installed it to find that there was no drive at all with loud clunking noises from the rear.

Pulled it apart this morning and it appears that there is not enough spring pressure inside to make it work.

The teethed plates do not appear to be pushing against each other hard enough for them to grip so they are just slipping past each other.

Looking at the only exploaded picture I have it appears that there should be some sort of caps on the end of the springs. This I assume would push the plates hard against each other.

Does anyone know if this is correct, and I guess also where would I track parts for the locker down????
