New (to me) 95 Terrano Questions

Hey there, just purchased a 95 Terrano 2.7TD Manual. Stock standard model at the moment... Plan on doing some mods to it! What is recomended? what have others done to improve Off Roading Performance short of buying a SWB Safari /Patrol that many people seem to recommend on this forum! I used to own a patrol :( doesn't fit 2 young kids in car seats so well and doesn't carry near as much in the back either. I have the terrano for a family 4wd type truck that I want to make very capable if needed.

I was thinking a lift, Spring and or Body, 31" or 32" muds, Snorkle, bull bars etc what do people recomend in both what to do and where to get! I am in Invercargill. What brand springs are the best for max articulation etc

Thanks heaps!

Chris

Had a 94 V6, lifted it by replacing all suspension (except torsion bars) with Old Man Emu gear, stay away form it it is shit. Re-indexed the torsion bars to lift the front. Problem I had was the front castor angles were all wrong and she chewed through tyres. Also the steering idler arm bent/broke several times from the extra steering loads. If I ever had one again I would fit the calmini kits they run out of the states for them. I have seen one done with these kits in CHCH and it turned out pretty good. He can fit 32" tyres no problems. I was running 33's and kept breaking CV's like nothing. I think they are a very capable truck and can go a lot of places where others think it is impossible to get a terrano. I also had aftermarket bars made up for it, rear storage area and roof rack and snorkel. Good luck and keep us posted on how ya mods go.
