The guards would bend on a Terrano when contact with an obstacle if you use this stuff IMHO.

I might have mine up for sale in Feb next year, after the garage is done. Widebody flares.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

A mate of mine took his Landy for a WOF the other week and they threw him out on his eco friendly garden edging flares.
Said they are illegal now.Can anyone confirm this or is the WOF guy just being a tanker?

damn it i had both rears sitting in my garden along with the metal brackets. i broke them up and binned them when i had a tidy up, they were cracked and one was repaired and the other needed repairing, i bought 2 rears in mint cond for $160 the pair complete off trade me within minutes of them being listed. wreakers are in a dream world $300 each if they have them. i knew i should have put them on here but couldnt be bothered with the hassle of posting them around the country. sorry

Hi,
The ones I were after were a bit smaller than the wide body ones but were bigger than the factory skinny strips.I thought I might of had trouble with Wofs because I was missing one but turns out the wheels arent sticking out past the guard anyway.
Its an 86 model so prob looks better without them anyway lol.
Cheers people.

not sure if this is helpful, but warren baker in upper hutt has made some fibreglass flares to suit a cruiser, they look like they would fit other vehicles?, this might be an option?

Any pics Jerry? Do you know if they are any more flexy or stronger than the 70 series ones?
Keep busting mine, just replaced that one I initially broke at Rallywoods way back in Jan, but have broken 3 others since then!

from what I'm reading, it sounds like you guys are putting your flares up against banks etc

now I don't wanna sound silly, but surely a bank and fibreglass flares don't do well together in the mating stakes

if you are planning on more mating with banks, then I'd be looking at rear bars to solve all problems

but if its just a cosmetic thing, then forget I spoke and carry on
