Supra missing at high rev's

Help, my 1ggeu[2ltr tiwn cam] has got a bad miss at high rpm

.I've replaced leads,coil etc,computer.Any thing that can be unpluged and swapped has been

.I'm getting a bit pissed off with it

any idea's

.Seems to get worse as it gets hotter ,i may have to resort to using a box of matches

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM hotter it gets worser it goes,
you say youve swapped and checked things..................were those new leads ,NEW,NEW????(im thinking its resistance the number 1 player with heat)im going to rattle the crap out of you with questions mate
dont stress scott well have it sorted before ya know it

also scott are you able to give me info on wirring up that engine??????????i know a guy down here whos having probs with getn it ti run ,it will crank but wont fire

he dosent have any wirring diagrams

it was an auto motor ............and there 2 wires going from the coil back to the auto ecu,hes tried putting power through these and no joy

maybe they need to run in a circuit??? he dosent know and no one he knows will give him any help.(hes pulling his hair out)
any help would be much appreciated

.............there must be one of you guys on here that can help
its in a surf too.

How'st eatenfulla ?.Go to your friendly toyota dealer

,they should have a wiring picture

and they may let you photo copy it

.I didn't wire mine up a bloke in town did.

hi scott howzit mate ,hes tried toyota and they cant help him with a diagram

,he seems to think all the manuals are in jap and not english.
any way possible to get the contact of the guy who wired it up???????

hey, pinky has all the wiring diagrams .. still waiting for my copy
keen to see this problem solved aye. my 5m misses as well ... but its in need of a tune and make over ..

call into work sometime and Ill give you a [b]NEW[/b] set of leads. non vented disc's new $50 plus Hellens grab ( GST) give me a call first

Not something simple like the advance on the dizzy is it? Have you got another dizzy to check it with?

Hows't you lot, got it sorted

,I think

.Replaced the injectors

and took it for a run down the road[bonnet latched down this time]it revs nicely to 7500rpm and 8000rpm doing donnuts with no sign of the rev limter

Heading out on a run with taupo club this weekend

.I'll let you lot know if it still going all right.
Is it possible to put wiring daiagrams on this web site

ok what wiring do you need . as conan said i have most toyota wiring diagrams .......and yes conan i will send you the copy that you want .i have it sitting next to me so i should get it sent tommorw

Did you do the base timing?
There is a yellow plug with a black rubber cap and two wires going into it. The plug is located beside the coil somewhere. Take the positive off the battery. Bridge the two wires in the yellow plug and reconnect the battery, then unbridge the two wires.
If you don't do this then your engine will run at 15deg advance reguardless of what revs the engine is doing. Because it will be in limp mode!!!
