No, it was a walk in the park.
We went through from the National park end.
Its mostly a gravel track, with a few tight bits round wash outs and slips to keep it entertaining.
Theres alot of scope for playing on the old logging tracks to.
They are all kept open by hunters and doc staff monitoring Kiwi's on quads, but the track base's are all 4x4 width.

sorry its currently CLOSED reopening is 1 december 2005 not too far away..

Yea there was a working bee thru there earlier in the year that the 4wders showed up in force for, after that you just about could have got thru it in a 1300 civic.
I know a few guys that went down and biked it on Mountain Bikes (hes a 4wder to why would you, 42kms of hills) last weekend, if ya want I'll find out from him what condition it is in,
