HI all
I heard a metallic clanging this arvo and had a look under my terrano. It appears that the suspension mounts at the bottom of the shock (where the ring is) have snapped off, both are still attached to the bolt. Am I able to weld them ( with an ARC welder) back on while its all still attached, or should I remove the brakes and everything else ?
im a little concerned that the heat may melt brake hoses etc and end up being more of a pain to fix, I cant post pics at the moment (camera still got heaps of xmas shit on it). or is ther eanother way I can weld it all with only removing a few bolts and dropping parts of it?
your thoughts please?

Re: terrano suspension - urgent advice/help needed
I belive that you will run into a problem at WOF time if you weld it yourself
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

Hey. My old one did the same thing. Had a mate who was a cretified welder weld it back on. He tacked it witht he shock in to get the placement right and then took shock out and fully welded it.
Had to put new shocks in as the reason it broke was cause the original one seized up (well got really really stiff)
