Radio Channel/s

Post by madaz068 »

I have been thinking for a while about what channel everyone uses in there area. Most people from what i can tell are either still using CB (AM) or the newer UHF (FM).

I know that i like to travel and explore this great country and what it has to offer. Alot of times i will see a truck with a ORE sticker and think to myself i wonder what channel they are on so i can say hi, how the bloody hell are you.

I was wondering if there is a common channel we could all use, or if we could have like a reg of channels for the different areas.

In the Naki we are normally on channel 10 (Both AM & FM) which is what the welly guys seem to use as well.

What are peoples thoughts on a common channel for ORE?

Sounds like a really good idea. BOP club trucks tend towards ch 16 UHF. Not alot of AM radios up this way.

Marlborough Club can usually be found on PRS Ch16, or Ch11 as back-up.

Starting to get a good list together.

How would people best like me to comply the list. I could make a map of NZ that you can click on a area and it would give the clubs in that area with what channel they use, or maybe just a simple word document.

What do people think?
