Does a 1988 Nissan safari grandroad long wheel base truck have a limited slip diff???

do a skid and have a look
jack up the rear turn a wheel and if both turn same direction it does have l.s.d

also there should be an orange sticker on outside of diff
but yeah 9/10 safaris have rear lsd

are the factory lockers any good? theres a couple of setups on trademe along with al the vacuum lines

not sure how they go personally
but we cut the vacum lock centre housings out at work and put rangerover ends on for a guy here in palmy and his truck is a serious offroad machine
so they must be the goods

they are good but have a problem with stripping the gear inside so after a while it just keeps popping out under any load at all.

well when i fit this locker diff I've got will keep the lsd as spare

yes because when you change inbetween open, lsd, locked or whatever all you are doing is changing the center carrier of the diff (where the spider gears are) although dont quote me on expensive things

well i had a suzuki with a lsd and i put a arb in it with the same diff
