Hi there,

I am currently looking at purchasing a 90-93 D21 TD27t 5-speed Terrano and i am wondering if there are different transaxle codes stamped on the chassis tag to state if it has a rear limited slip diff or not?? Or is the only way to jack it up and give the wheels a spin??

I have noticed a lot of the Terranos out there seem to have open rear diffs which just ain't cool, may have to go for a welded up option  .

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks.

hg46 is the trandaxle code for the diesel autos..not sure if the manuals have the same....

where abouts you live, ive got a hg46 lsd axle complete in my shed.could consider parting with it.

PM me if intrested.

check under the rear seat (both inside and underneath) for rust where the seatbelt mounts before you buy it, check the www.lvvta.org.nz page for more info about this (theres a special pathfinder/terrano page on there about it).

you may need to beef up the front steering on it as these are a weak point on them as well.
