Does anyone know the outfit that rebuild jeep front wheel hubs ?
Also does anyone know where in NZ you can get an aftermarket Viscous Fan Clutch for a 97 TJ . The dealer wants $460 and it has to come from Singapore. Quadratect sell them for US $60 which with freight and ex rate will end up about NZ $200

Appreciate any advice

Got a replacement viscous for the TJ from Hitech in ChCh for bugger all. Cant recall their phone number... ill dig it up soon.

Only front hubs ive seen done are from Warn.... im sure others do them though. Fully Equipped (warn agents) can probably get them, but theyd be importing them too. www.discountjeepparts.com (i think) do some good rates for oversaes customers.

The part number for the Warn ones is W38007 - according to the Omix-Ada catalogue. You could call Greg Hopkins on 0210554549 for a comparative price also.

Howat engineering in Wellington can machine out the old hub to take replacable bearings or Just Jeep can supply hubs at a good price.

Sorry, my bad, I thought we were talking about putting in Warn locking hubs to enable engaging and disengaging the front end.

If its just that the wheel bearings are buggered, call Greg and he should have a pair of hubs/bearings to you the next day. Not worth the hassel getting the old ones rebuilt.... well... to me anyway.
