Accidents waiting to happen

(If this isnt in the right place could some one place there for me please.)
Typical know all aucklanders ( I apologise to those in the know for 4wd safety)
I was at the beach this year and walking past the boat ramp. Any how a big boat comes in ( around a 22-25 footer). One of them runs up gets the landcruiser parks it on the hard sand disconnects the trailer and hand winches the boat on 3/4 of the way. Next second he puts a 30m strop on to the TOWBALL and dumps the clutch off up the beach towing the boat with him.
( by the way the strap is 14 ton breaking strain)
I go up to him and introduce my self and tell him that is the wrong way to tow off the towball and would be safer to tow off the tow bar. Any how I get a BIG chewing out ''What the hell do you know and yada yada yada.'' LOL
I just flinch at the thought of what would happened if the towball had sheared off.
A crowded boat ramp ( atleast 70 people in a hundred meter radius).
Stupidity Knows No Bounds.
( sorry for the length of the post)
Regards
