DODGY WHEEL ALIGNMENT AT BEAUREPAIRES

i had a wheel alignment on friday what a shocker
all that needed to be done was the toe in, and they have stuffed up the whole front end of my surf
it pulls to the right and even harder when you brake
even my tyres are rubbing now and didn't before
i was there to greet him when he got back from his test drive and he climbed out in his dirty greasy overalls
with nothing protecting them from the seat so they obviously dont care about customers vehicals either
not to mention there was one person doing it and three others watching
not to mention i had a major oil leak from my transfer case i found when i had a look what they had done, to have been told about this would have been nice
while i was waiting another customer came in to the shop and made a complaint about his wheel alingment
and i really dont want to take it back to them cause they obviously dont know what they are doing
i have given there customer service a call and they said there regional manager would call back, he did, i wasn't
around to take his call and he wouldn't leave his number with my partner so i could ring him back, three times she asked?
all i want is my money back so i can take it to someone who knows what they doing
$80 is alot of money for a stuff up
so Morrinsville BEAUREPAIRES you suck
will edit if this gets resolved

tony at speedy tyre and lube does a good allignment, or my favorite is simons garage on killarney rd ...cant remember what the name of it is but if you give simon a call at naylor street autos 07 8567185 he can direct you there, tell him Ben sent you and you might get a good deal...or told to Fk off..
but either of them is better than where you went

Go to the MTA website & find out if they are a member....make a conplaint there...if they try to fob you off tell them you will go to the media.....a friend of mine did this after a warrant shop lifted her car up & destroyed her radiator....they replaced the radiator with the wrong one & did mount it properly (just zip tied it in)..MTA arranged for it to be fixed at the Dealership ...but they were very reluctant to do anything untill she said she would go to the media.

I've looked on the MTA and Beaurepaires sites and it looks like they aren't a member
Maybe this is the reason ...
Go here and send them a copy of the text in your original post and a link to this thread ...

dont just back down dude, shoddy workmanship needs to be correctly addressed, in today's econmic enviroment suppliers of services such as wheel aligments need to be doing it 110% for EVERY customer, and as LV Martin once stated its the putting right that counts!!!
my 10c (incl GST and Freight)

you will need a letter from whoever corrected the problem for evidance that there was a issue
TBH your kinda curcumvented the law protecting you by having it fixed somewere else and not allowing the person to fix there error
have a read up on consumer and contract law
that will give you yoru rights in this

Ain't it funny how different things can be from town to town.
Here in Nelson I use Beaurepaires as the guy does alignments all the time, and is an off-roader himself. Their machine is brand new and state-of-the-art.

I'm sure the Consumer Gaurantee Act says that the first two times the service provider (the shop) has the right to;
1. Repair,
2. Replace, or
3. Refund the goods or service
If the matter is not resolved by the third time then it is your right to choose.
If they are a franchise, go over the Managers head to the franchise owner and then to company owner

i really dont know how they could f**k it up.toyota surfs such as yours are so easy to do. no shims involved all they have to do do to correct camber castor is to undo couple of nuts and turn the eccentric bolts which moves the bottom arm in or out and then set the toe.easy a. not all state of the art machines are perfect they have there nigglng issues trust me. scan your print out and post it up i interested in reading it and seein what they did and didnt do.did you have new tyres put on or are they same ones you had?did they rotate them from front to back?

If they are a franchise, go over the Managers head to the franchise owner and then to company owner
These are your rights and the order it needs to be done in:
1) You can ask the person who did the job to fix it at no cost to you.
2) If they refuse or take more than a reasonable time to fix it you can:
*get someone else to fix it and claim the cost from the supplier.
*If you have already paid the service provider you may be able to get some or all of your money back.
*The amount you can ask for will depend on whether some of the service provided was satisfactory.
You need to provide them with proof it was done wrong so copies of the before and after printouts from them and from the new place.
Also to note the company has to follow the below guidelines
Services must be provided with reasonable care and skill
1) This generally means that any work done for you must be at least as good as the work of a competent person with average skills and experience in the type of work required and performed in a professional manner.
2) After you have told the service provider what service you want from them, and they accept the job, they must make sure you get what you want.
3) Your complaint processed quickly and a soloution agreed to and seen through
