thats a cheap price. some of us were lucky enough to test these tyres before they were released.my manager got to test them at a track up north and he said they did surprising well for a a/t tyre. we sell em at work and havent had anythin negative bout them. but then again wat are your intentions with them?

taumaranui f/s got some before xmas ,they are replacing the rmt which was dodgy on wet tarseal , look like quite a good tyre, mate put some on his flat deck hilux and is wrapped with them, is mainly a farm ute and carrys a quad on yhe back when hunting, good grip for a cheap tyre thats made in nz, no idea how they wear yet as only been on for 6 weeks.

I hope the MT are better than their 80/20 road tyre which I believe would be HT or highway terrain, I got very poor mileage out of the ones I had 40,000 km and needed replacing Firestone won't be getting anymore business off me as my previous two sets of tyres Fire Hawks and Dunlops got to just on 100,000km. First of all they tried to say it was the way I was using them but wear was even on all tyres so obviously not an alignment problem and I do drive like a nana anyway. Surely my driving hadn't deteriorated that much in three years.
I was told by two Firestone dealers that there was a problem in getting decent mileage out of those tyres off the record but as you guessed they are probably not going to say too much to their suppliers.
Well there are plenty of other manufacturers out there I might go with Yokohama or back to Dunlop.

The March 09 NZ4WD magazine had a field test of the Firestone Destination A/T. They were fitted to the Suzukis at Extreme 4WD park and apparently went well. Part of the article is online at http://www.nz4wd.co.nz/afa.asp?idWebPage=13579&idAdrenalin_Articles=873&SID=648843502

Thanks, but they're the A/T's.
The MT's are recently released here, I haven't found anyone who's used a set yet.
They have been sold in the US for a while, but these are NZ made, so possibly different rubber compounds etc.
