The Northland WC was scedualed for Easter weekend (10 to 13 April) however due to the current economic climate we are postponing it and changing the format a bit. We are aiming for the 3rd weekend in May but that will be confirmed latter this week.
We are going to run this event as cheaply as possible and keep the entry fee as low as possible. Hopefully the entry fee will be similar to last year but we have a few things to finish working out before confirming the cost.
We have arranged a property where we can run the whole event and everyone can camp on so all you will need to do is turn up and race. The property is not right in town like normal but is probably too far out to make staying in Whangarei practical. eg about 25mins out.
The plan is to have scrutineerinf on Friday afternoon / evening like last but it will be onsite. We will then race Saturday amd Sunday finishing about 1.00pm so people can travel home Sunday afternoon. By doing it this way we hope that you can compete at Nor-West then have just over 2 months to sort things out and save up for the Northland event.
Also to keep things simple we will run both Challenge and Club classes together. This will mean that Club class trucks must have a 4 point rollbar but that is the only difference to the rules Nor-West are running.

This does mean we are shortening the event from what we had planned but we feel this must be done to ensure everyone can go without too much financial hardship.

Like last year we will set the entry fee and then give a deadline for entry. If we don't get enough entries by that time then the price will go up. There will be a small charge for support crew to cover the cost of showers, tolilets etc.
