Wires trip Waitangi Day

went for a trip up the wires on fri / sat. Was going to stay up there until sunday and do the laurie sanson in thames, but vehicle trouble forced us to come home early.

Did you get to meet Tony - Northern Zone NZ4WD President up there doing the loop with the Manukau 4wd club and did you put the dosh in the box to help cover the costs of maintaining the track?

yes we met the manakau club, i only remember the name Bernie, but i talked to all of them. Seemed like a good bunch of guys. Yes we put our money in the box.

Was a nice scenic track, amazing how much water was still there.
The overnight was fun... man there were a lot of possums. Think we heard about two or three pigs in there as well grunting away.

That Bernie is Manukau 4wd's Club captain - good guy - very experienced 4wder

yeah it is a cool drive, pictures were low quality (only had tims camera :P)

i should have let you know we were going up, but didnt even think about it :oops: ill be keen for another trip up there in a few weekends...

Sounds like a plan. Might have to actually do some work on the Surf. :roll:
