I have noticed in the last couple of days that my wagon has been running a bit hotter (According to the temp gauge). I have heard and read that this can be a problem. Is there something I should be doing now to prevent this getting worse?

Id take outthe radiator.
Flush it out with a hose & check it not blocked & while its out make sure there isnt any mud in the fins etc..can be done while still in vehicle...but soooo much easier when out.
Take out the thermostat & make sure its working properly...it might be jammed shut or open...both will make it overheat.
When you refill the cooling system put lots of anti-freeze in it .

I'd also suggest that you fit extractors if it hasn'e already got them. The factory exhaust manifold can be the cause of problems as they get older.

Yep got extractors on, And I made a "custom" Heat intake for the cold and frosties. But it is time for me to upgrade to something a little roomier, so prob gonna sell it.
