Just a thought

If there was a challenge class list it might get some of the club class trucks that are ex or set up challenge trucks to come and change class and may be win it in there first outing

. This is a very good chance to come and kick butt.
There is a few of the top trucks out for rebuilds and setting up for the Taupo 1000.
I dont know the numbers in the challenge class but I will put $100 in for a club truck entry to help if they are already on the club comp list to step up

. The $100 is for the first two trucks to step up or if there is only one truck they get the lot for there entry.
Cheers Klembo

Hi Klem,Thats bloody great thanks for that,I have spoken to a couple of the Club class trucks that are right up there but dont comply to the challenge class rules i:e dont have 6 point cage only a 4 point rego/wof issues etc but i will ask around and see if anyone can be persuaded to step up ,as you say with at least 3-4 of the top trucks not competeing it would be the perfect oppertunity to get a top placing ..steve

Sweet as Steve,
There is some realy cool trucks out there and any one of them could win in challenge or club class. I have been told that Tim from Hamilton has steped up for his first comp and in challenge class.
If any one wonts help on the weekend with welders and other stuff we will be there to help you know how it goes BEER gets any thing done HA ha .
Mike my winch man is running for Ranna and Clint Handcock Will be my winch man again. Between us we can make jam out of mud,
So just ask away truck #55 BIG blue (fair brother) and Ranna in #20 BIG silver (sister to BIG black).
Cheers Klembo

Yeah, I didnt spend 3 years building it, to go in the clubmans class, might as well start at the deep end.
Although, I might be singin a different tune by the end of the event when im surrounded by bits of broken hilux

Yeah we will be there complete with generator, lights, welders (MIG and gas) etc etc so same goes. (Truck 15) Don't not race because of a some small damage. Most of us have the attitude that we sure as hell want to beat you BUT it is on the race track that we want to do it, so if it takes an all nighter to get someone running then so be it. One of the best things about these events is the spirit in which we race. Sure there is a whole lot of egos but that just makes it more fun.
If it is your first time, don't be shy of the experienced guys. If you need help they WILL help you. We're all there to have fun and while racing hard is part of it so is meeting new people and making new friends. Most of us discuss the new mods we are going to make with each other even though we are making them to beat each other!
If the atmosphere wasn't so good, no one would do the shit that we put ourselves and our trucks through.
And Tim I hope you have a nice light ground anchor, I hear rumours that your coey isn't power house!!!!

Since Darin is generously supplying the rum, I'll stump up with the ice

Well it's been a few comps since you've been around so it is only fair.
I've got a bottle sitting in the cupboard that has your name on it!!!!!!!!!
But I think I'd rather hall the ground anchor than drink it all!!
