well when i was out playing the other day truck died just like a stall, wouldnt start again, checked few things, like fuel geting through and glow, and injectors fireing, still no go,got towd out onto flat ground, tryed starting again, started but wouldnt idle was very lumpy when did idle almost to point it sounded like a lumpy camed v8,

,drove home had nextto no power at all (less than normal anyway).notced one injector leaking,no biggy remove it clean and strip refit yay no leaks, got new fuel filter in,test drove and got power and seams normal, till i got under to check for any other leaks whe i noticed black engine oil semi pooring out from rear mane seal(has been leaking for while just not like this) any way theoil coming out kinda has te consistancy of water, and the pool on garage floor (cold) is like slightly thick water.
what would be cause, would mixing oil and diesel do this?if so what the pos reasons

deisel in the oil by the sounds of it and you said it yourself, leaky injector, pull them all out and overhaul all of them

Is the leak just the diesel, from leaking injector, running down head & bellhousing mixing with old oil from leak and dripping off?

yeah did think of that but the leak at injectors was nothing to major, doesnt look like it running down the side,by the amount of oil driping/ semi pouring out it would almost have to be pumping into engine, like couple of mins and there was nice patch on ground.

What the oil level like? Could be stuffed injectors and the diesel getting into oil.

oil level is kinda low, just at the top of the bottom mark on dipstick, bout the point when you start worrying, bloody leak.yeah thats what i thought but wouldnt that men that the rings or head have had a wops and geting into oil that way.

drop the rest of the oil and see whats its like. I once had a problem with the afm and it was over fueling quite badly (on a petrol this is), and didnt realise fuel (and quite a bit) had made it into the sump. When i drained the oil a bit later after not having used it for awhile the oil came out in a petrol consistency. This probably caused it to run a bearing a few months later.
On the plus side when we pulled it down to rebuild it was clean as a whistle

i had the same issue with the replacement motor in my g while figuring out the fuel injection system didn't realise had pumped alot of petrol into the cylinders and it drained down into the oil which resulted in a loss of compression and as a result it wouldn't start am actually glad it didn't start while that mixture was in the sump

what oil are you useing?
some of the oil i have here has the consistancey of water straight out of the drum.
IMHO if you had enough fuel in it to make the oil very watery you would have blown bearings by now.
you could have simply got a fuel blackage in the filter or air leak and was sucking air.
your fuel problem may not have anything to do with the oil.

If you really want to know, then bottle some up and send it for analysis.

potentially the oil drainin out your bowel housin is prob engine oil mixed with water from goin thru water or jus condensation mixing with the oil in the bowel housin. mine drains out in some funny colours and textures. especially after water crossings and it gettin hard time. your fuel leak is jus coincidence i'd say
