Hi guys,
Welded or locked front diff
has anyone had experiance with this ?
Would not work on the more modern drive systems eg the Pajero super select unless manual hubs were fitted, and you did not want to run around in AWD.
following a thread on 4x4wire, the trick is to thro it into 4wd and engage one hub for normall offroad driving, and then engaging the other hub when the going gets tuff and the extra drive is required.(alternatively driving with both hubs in and unlocking one when a tigt turn is needed)
Why would someone do this - dont want to spend bucks on a commercial locking diff, or sorting out the ins and outs of installing a starion LSD.
Sounds like an easy solution.
Thoughts ?
