Vitara / Escudo Front Disc Brake Swap

Post by gomulletgo »

I want to know if the non-vented front disc brakes/calipers etc. from a SWB vitara will fit on the LWB vitara that originally came out with vented front disc brakes/calipers etc. ? I had a good search and couldn't find the info i was after, I know I've read something about this before. Could someone please help me out, I need to know in a bit of a hurry as I'm looking at purchasing another suzuki. Also, did all LWB vitara/escudos come out with the vented front disc brakes? Thank you :)

Note: the LWB vehicle is a 1991 and the SWB vehicle will be about the same vintage.

yes they are a bolt on swap over you need to change nothing, i put lwb brakes on my swb , the lwb have bigger drums on the rear aswell and longer cables which is what you need when they flex.
