The dump pipe flange will be different. Same shape but the anchoring bolts move around depending on T2, T25 or T28.

The T28 is a big turbo for a 2.7L. You're better just to up the boost on your T25. It can deliver enough air for around 200hp.

I know its a commonly asked question and probably not one you can give a specific answer to but, how much psi can i run on the standard injector pump before i have to start increasing fuel??..

also whats your opinion on 2.5 inch or 3 inch exhausts for turbo diesels..have heard many different opinions about this. from my understanding the 3 inch exhaust would be better as it would help the turbo spool up faster as there is less backpressure??
am hoping to get my turbo to spool up faster and kick in earlier

im new to turbochargers/ diesels so im just messing about/learning with this engine.. planning on modding a 4.2 when i know enough

The boost you can get will be limited by your fuelling. Basically more fuel creates the heat needed to drive the turbo harder. With stock fuelling you should get 10psi but I don't know how much more.

As for the exhaust, if you're going to the trouble/expense of changing it then go straight to 3". But you won't hurt it by running 10psi on the stock pipes.

Depends on your boost levels.
Below 10psi it's not really worth it as the charge air temps aren't that high.
15psi and above it's pretty much necessary.
In between it depends.
