Firewood Loop Akatarawa Forest

Post by SV1K »

Kiwi 4x4 Trip weekend of 4rd April

Trip leaders are Marty (Sadam) and myself (Suzuki1k)

Maximum of 15 trucks with only 10 doing the Firewood Loop, there may be another area the other 5 can go, we will work this out on the day.

4th April - Akatarawa Trip + optional ovenight at Rallywoods. We can't go in on Friday night to Rallywoods due to someone else having booked the place. We can leave trailers up at the hanger though as they have agreed for us to do this.

Meeting at the Rallywoods gate at 9.00am, with the drivers breifing at 9.30am, departing at 9.35am sharp.

NO DRINKING AND DRIVING, THIS MEANS EVERYONE!

Not shiny friendly as some scratching of panels can be expected.

Cost - $15 per truck + $5 visitor fee payable - Affiliated nzfwda members do not pay this fee.
$5 per person if staying overnight at Rallywoods.

5th April - Recovery day if needed or firewood collection for Rallywoods.

Trip will be open to non assn members, provided they have the required safety equipment i.e. hooks, first aid kit etc.

Note that if ANYONE that turns up and DOESNT have the minimum requirements, hooks, fire extinguisher, basic tools to change spare trye as well as carring a spare tyre of the correct size etc, they will be advised that they are unable to attend this trip.

If you have questions PM either Sadam or myself.

Hi, would you this trip be suited to having a 2.5 year kid old tagging along? I have a double cab hilix on ~31" muds but not too keen on excessive panel damage :)

Its probably a bit rough for your "Shiny" William....... should be a spare seat or 2 otherwise the track is very walkable

It has gone in the rear (just until it gets power steering), thanks to Reece and everyone else at Rallywoods last weekend
