WTD - Holden VT Power Steering Pump & Air Con

Post by SirGerald »

Hi looking for a power steering pump and Air Con unit for a V6 3.8l holden vt (not sure on year yet).

The power steering pump that is in there at the moment has been modified so that it now doesn't reduce the pressure. As far as I understand the pressure reducing parts in the compressor have been removed as the truck was running hydraulic steering. Sweet as if the pump is stuffed as I could just get the bits out of it I need.

Also looking for the air con pump so that I can convert it to my air supply.

Feel free to ring me on 027-4436665.

Stu

I have a couple of spare air con pumps, condition unkown and not sure if there the same as a VT? they were off VR motors....im in lower hutt. 0272939182. There not very good for endless air as they are vayne type compressors but try and keep them well oiled and run a non return valve before your tank after the compressor to avoid the air exhausting back through the compressor after it has reached its max psi and shut off and just give it a go and see how long it lasts

Cheers for that. Have just worked out where the air comp would have originally mounted and to get it back in there we will need to rebuild the engine mounts that are currently on it.

Will have a look around and try to find a Sanden compressor since we have to make up brackets etc might as well make it up for a compressor that will work for continuous air.
