hi all, got my diffs sorted runnin 4.11 front and rear , oh what a diff it makes eh!!
the front shocks and steerin dampnr off my 74 rig have been dented and abused beyond all beleif, they may well be original. the rear shocks are old dented blu type air shocks but hold there pressue at 30 p.

i have 100 mm hangers and 33 ies, powered by reco 307. 4 spd, no power sterin, with all the late model mods ?? ( free whelin hubs!)

want to up grade my shockies to new gas ones, do i go 40mm or 45 mm tubes, will it make a diff ? wat is the diff?,
are the old air shocks better due to there inc, dec in pressure for diff hazards??
what is the diff on sterin dampners there seems to be a few types, (seen the 1 with a big spring?)
(do serious offf roadinwith wairarapa club )
yes i want a diff lokka as well!
your comments will be appreciated

wow, thats a read and a half!!!

ok

go somwhere theres a drain to cross it up in, take off your shocks and flex the shit out of it to get your total extended and compressed lengths front and rear then order some ranch 9000's for it bout 200 buks a pop from AFWE in Auck or your local auto shop that gives you good deals

steering dampner is easy, just go to ripco and get the one they list for your 40, bout 50 bucks?, i have one of them and its fine, just doesnt look bling

Air shocks are usualy softer ride but with some if run hard for a while they get really hot and when this happens they almost stop dampening, when they cool down they are fine again.

As Wopass said look at the rancho shocks they are adjustable turn the knob and stiff for road other way and you are flexy off road (I don't have adjustable shocks but wish I did).

Another option is PM badnuz and see what the ARB stuff will cost you, or Robo who can get the EFS stuff....
