Replacement brush kit for alternator

ok I'm sitting with my alternaor stripped on my gf's kitchen bench (shhhh)

I can't figure out how to get the actual brushes out, any idea's?? sorry can't up load photos at the mo

But more than likely you'll find they are soldered in. Some can be a real PITA to sort as well (especially when it comes time to put it all back together)


(Oh and if Skid happens to be there, keep your back against the wall :wink: :lol: :lol: :lol: )

Just had the ones in the scud done, cost $75.00 and was done in an hour, they replace the whole lot in one go. saves pissing around with it.

Yeah I pissed around all night with it, got it down to the last piece now though.

the problem is most of them are soldered onto the copper and they are a bastrd to replace, Weemsy and i looked at doing replacing mine, then thought why waste the effort and time .Just pay some to fix it properly then if it goes wrong there is someone else to blame :lol:
