Very nice!! Ive got the same surf, waiting for the engineer to get back to me with my rear bar at the moment. I like how you did the recovery points, I'm planning to go with eye points and D shackles myself but good to see how others have tackled this issue..

Cheers
Alex.

You soon get sick of lieing in the mud trying to unscrew the pin on the shackel and hoping it dosent drop into the mud to be lost forever

I used to have eyes and shackels on my front ARB bar and it started to stretch and elongate the holes so I ditched them and had the bar reinforced for some hooks

yea i was a bit unsure of where to put the hooks exactly, wanted them permanant, didnt want them protruding out past the bar or being the lowest point, just gone for a bitava compromise i guess, bout 150mm in from the bar.
Once we had the main arms cut up and drilled, the whole thing took 10 hours start to finish ready for a paint

finaly got on making rear storage box, used some old shelving from the house as the main frames that you can see, took them to work to dress them down a bit and take paint off... to find it was rimu.. so i got me some expensive rare timber in me truck, couldnt finish it off though cause i couldnt get back to the workshop to get timber for the base and marine carpet to cover all the interior panels, so will do that next week, found the 2 storage trays @$20 each, should work all good, enough space to store everything underneith and a bed on top, will make a drop in box for the front half that cant be removed so i still got 2 seats in the back when needed.

and also done rear brakes, replaced shoes and cylinders, and gave drums a bita sand on the inside but they in pretty good nick, then a bita lick a paint to finish them off

got the new widebody style guards dry fitted, no need for rubber flares now, ready for a paint and fitting the snorkel... next on the list is bar work before i smash them guards :? :?
Image

when i do the rear flares im going to cut all the panel steel that sits under the flares out so itll give me shite loads more clearance

im just doing it from home in my own time so not considering labour if i sold the odd set now and then it would give me a bita pocket money...
im hopeing or thinking the minitruckin community might be keen on a few for there bagged trucks on 20s etc..
as for nthe 130 guards i guess i need to start looking for some guards and flares to make moulds from....
