Hi all, looking to put a PRS radio into my 1986 Pajero. Anyone have any recommendations on where I should buy one from and who I should get to install it? Hopefully looking to spend around $400 - $450. Im assuming PRS is better for club trips as opposed to a 40 channel CB or should I get both? Cheers

go for a UHF uniden uh-012, basic and has none of the extra frills that you probably won't use, CB? most clubs use UHF PRS instead of AM CB, stick with Uniden or GME. Can get one with a scanner but the police are stopping using these soon so not worth paying for one.

For that coin you could get one of each. Sure someone on here could wire it up for you. Where are you located?

Im based in Upper Hutt but will travel in the Wellington area. Willing to flick someone some pingers in exchange for the installation, or beers, or whatever really. I could probably have a crack myself but between study, work, dogs and other things I struggle to find time and rather get it done right. Who would be a good retailer to buy off you reckon? Cheers for the reply guys.

Trig Instruments are who I brought all my radios from, PRS hand held, PRS dash mount and CS dash mount, they are all GME and great. They are at the bottom of the Ngauranga Gorge.

I am able to fit them as well if needed, let me know either way.
