hey guys not really sure what forum to put this in so bear with me lol

just looking at putting some spotlights on my 98 Nav things that i have had in mind are the Narva Taurus spotlights. I can get these at staff price from repco as i have a friend who works there, and also a set of lightforce ones. Dont really know alot about these so any information would be extremely helpful as i dont want to be unhappy with my final choice because at the moment 3 or 400 dollars for a set of spots is quite alot of money.

I am no expert on lights but as far as i know Lightforce are the bees knees of spot lights I have a small scope mount one the power and reliabitly is amazing my next one is definitly going to be a Lightforce, only down side is there price.

The real good ones are the HID lights but think BIG dollars for them, A man much wiser than me said there are bad lights and good lights but anything is better than none at all.
That said I use the narva 170 one spread and one spot, very happy, good light for the money, and they come with clear protectors on them, haven't busted one yet, last truck I busted two lights on gravel roads on club trips. ( following those dam big tyred 4wd ) .
There was a real good write up in an Aussie mag a few years ago was very informative someone might have a copy.

I have them and would rate them also, although one cover got washed away and the lens got cracked a few days later and some wanker stole the remaining one at a hippie fest in Nelson. Farkin hippies.

Brilliant lights though. Way, way brighter than my high beams, but probably to do with the bulbs to. Got some decent truckstar 24v ones.

how much do the light force ones cost?

priced a set of 240's today 800plus gst

May want to check out the Hella ones as well, they do some motorsport HID ones, in the catalogue its says for motorsport/offroad use only, they do normal ones in 12/24v and also have covers avaliable too...

I use a Lightforce spot on my firearm. The things I like about them are the beam/adjustable spot and how light they are. But I've broken a couple and don't rate them on strength at all. A friend has a couple on their 4X4 and loves them.

On my truck I've gone for a steel built spot. The IPF spots are priced well and are a great spot. If you're on a budget I'd go for them.
But if you're not. These Narva hid lights are the shit. Everything is built into the light, no remote devices needed. But wow. They aren't cheap.
