New Jimny parts wanted at reasonable prices

Post by Denby »

Can anybody recommend somewhere I can get some parts for my Jimny at realistic prices?

I don't mind paying trade or even trade plus something reasonable but I am having an allergic reaction to paying full retail.
Murphy's Law usually means that I will find out a couple of week later I could have got them cheaper if I mentioned ORE, showed my association membership card or even just asked for Fred at Zuki Parts Ltd *angry customer smilie*

I am after a pair of slotted trailing arm bushes SGP # 46282-81A00 (or # 46282-81A30 which are the un-slotted and allegedly less flexible front ones) and a camshaft position sensor # 33220-50G02 for a G13BB (mine has an intermittent fault like so many and I don't want it to die in the bush).

Cheers.

Sorry cant help you with this, but can tell you that I never actually found that place when I was A class, all Jimny parts prices are bloody stupid it was also hard to even find a damaged one for parts, I believe that Te Puke or Mudbits seem to get them all

I know what you mean Dan.

I went to Turners Damaged Vehicle Auctions last year with the intention to bid on a 99 Jimny.
The photo they put on the net showed severe frontal damage but when I inspected it there was a lot the photos didn't show;
- one front trailing arm broken & the other bent,
- front driveshaft out of the slip joint (from recovery or impact? if impact what is the t-box like?),
- damaged sump and possibly internals from contact with diff head (and the engine was high km anyway),
- broken vacuum hub from impact (so what is the condition of the CV or hub),
- not to mention the bonnet, radiator, bumper, guards were stuffed.

I was amazed that it went for about $2200 (to an internet bidder - possibly Te Puke) PLUS the fees that Turners charge (another $500 I think).
